There’s too much emphasis on team building these days, not to mention the over concocted definitions, necessities and implications of successful teams in startups here in the valley. How to build a world class team, how to work in teams to drive superior results, cohesive leadership, yada yada.

The beauty in simplicity is forgotten yet again. I suddenly remember a lovely conversation I had with one of my good friends recently. When two individuals who’re both passionate, ambitious, smart and talented get together and connect with each other effortlessly, Magic happens. Very few people empower you in general. And vice versa. If you find yourself in a situation where both occur, you’re going to make Magic, my friend. The connect, the spark, the 1 + 1 that becomes 10. Resonance.

Also reminds me of my (ironically) favorite definition of God, for someone like me who doesn’t quite believe in his existence. God is someone that exists in the space between two people. Sometimes it’s love. Sometimes, magic. Either case, creation of something beautiful. 

I think it’s time I resumed writing. It’s going to be fun. I look forward to the journey – emotions, thoughts, questions, ideas, the (occasional) ramblings, poetry, bursts of words on a page, the craziness that subtleties bring, well, all of that and more.
